Heru Attends Gathering with Association of Werdatama Jaya

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono asked for input and guidance from retired Jakarta Provincial Government officials in carrying out their mandate and duties in managing and advancing Jakarta.

He conveyed this while attending the Acting Governor's Gathering with Werdatama Jaya Association at Jakarta International Equestrian Park, Jalan Pulomas Jaya, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, Thursday (5/11).

According to him, he started his career at Jakarta Government as a civil servant in 1993. He needed input and guidance from his seniors at Jakarta Government to carry out his duties as Acting Governor. Moreover, he is still Head of Presidential Secretariat.

"The burden is heavy. I'm a civil servant in Jakarta, I entered civil servant in 1993. So, today when I served as Acting Governor, I needed 24-hour guidance and input, because from the start I was a civil servant candidate and civil servant and that was a burden that I had to carry," he expressed.

He explained that he wanted to show that civil servants, including seniors and even retirees from the Jakarta Government, were professionals. He wanted to build a sense of professionalism as a civil servant.

"To this day, I haven't brought in a team from outside. I trust the heads of services, echelon 2 to 4, because of the guidance from Mr. and Mrs. seniors. I have to show that so it is appropriate that what I'm carrying out this task can be helped, at least prayer," he expressed.

He added the concept of ideas or thoughts of retired Jakarta Government is still being deemed in carrying out his duties.

"I do your concept . I did a lot of ideas that I gathered from the existing archives. I was moved and wanted to get together even smaller to absorb the senior's thoughts," he stated.
